Kate’s expertise has also been called upon to help alleviate the symptoms of some more unusual conditions:
An old Viking disease where the ligaments in the fingers cause the fingers to contract to a claw. The patient concerned was experiencing stiffening of the ligaments and Kate was able to help him regain most of the mobility he lost in his hand.
The patient had a long term fear, since childhood, which caused her tremendous anxiety. Kate spent two hypnotherapy sessions with her and helped alleviate her fears and phobia. She now enjoys her kids birthdays.
A rare condition where the head cannot be lifted. The patient concerned was offered surgery where pins are screwed into the spine and skull, this would keep her head up, but give her limited mobility in her neck. The patient decided against surgery and sought Kate’s expertise. The patient, is still being helped, see testimonials, and she now lifts her head and enjoys a considerable range of motion too.
A patient preparing for a cataract operation, who due to a heart condition couldn’t go under general anaesthetic. She had an acute fear of being conscious during the operation. Kate prepared a hypnotherapy course to help her deal with her operation anxiety. The operation was successful and the patient remained relaxed and calm throughout.
